In the "Skirt design and sewing" workshop, we will learn to make a skirt with a personal design while taking into account our environment and working with zero waste. This is a REMAKE workshop:
Each participant will bring an old item from home that is no longer needed, and together we will work our magic: we will dismantle the old and turn it into a new one: an old garment will turn into a special skirt.
The purpose of the workshop is to teach the participants how to develop an idea from a raw stage to its creation into a final product, while maintaining the principles of environmental recycling. In the workshop we will work according to the following steps:
- Let's start by making a colored sketch of the skirt on paper
- Placing a cut on the fabric while making maximum use of the existing one
- Cutting out the skirt parts
- Threading a needle
- Sewing the trim pieces
- rubber thread
- Choosing design elements and decorations and finishing the skirt
*Each and every participant in the workshop will leave at the end of the meeting with a special and one-of-a-kind skirt that they will take home
